Meetup | August Goals

It’s a couple days into August, and again, I’ve been working so hard, that I didn’t have time to stop and post!

Our huge flooring project is just…about….done! The bedroom is pretty much done, and the stairs…Andrew got all but one done before my Mom showed up! She and my Step Dad are visiting from Massachusetts for the first time in like 5 years! I snapped a couple of cell phone pix before they arrived:

So here’s where the goals are:

July Goals

Headband pattern for Quilt Scene  July 9  100%
Sessions 3-5 in Dyeing 102  July 31  100%
Work on new Botanical Sketch motifs  July 31  0%
Work on Shaun’s new site  July 31  5%
Backyard Dyeing class with Barbara and 5 of her friends!  July 14  100%
New pattern prep for tablet cover class July 31  0%
Bag for Mary – finally started!  July 31  10%
Continue working on Aida’s website  July 30  25%
Add “Patio Classes” info to website  June 30  100%

I’m not really sure what I want to add to my list for August! I’m trying to focus on the positive – I’ve got 4 weeks til I’ve got to go back to the day job, and since the kids head back to school, I should have some real quality studio time. But work on my Dyeing 102 class is all consuming, and I’d really like to get it done before I’m back to school. I’ve also got to get the materials together for my first sewing class! I’m teaching a class on a custom tablet/e-reader cover at Redlands Sewing Center in early September.

I’ve got a lot of things I want to sew bubbling under the surface…perhaps something shall bubble to the surface while I take a few days to hang out with my Mom and Step Dad and get the boys ready for school!
