Listening to the Universe

About 3 weeks ago, I won an iPad. I quickly made a simple envelope sleeve for it, so I could carry it without worrying about it getting scratched. I love it! So simple, so necessary, so pretty.  Perhaps I’m not the only one who likes it:

  • At the show I did last weekend (pictured above), a woman was looking at my journals and wishing that I made iPad covers, and was delighted to see mine – she’ll mull on color selection and order one soon.
  • When I went to the Apple store to buy an iPad accessory, the staff member totally wanted one and asked for my card.
  • A former student who is now my friend on Facebook saw the cover I made and asked me to make him one for his new toy.

Universe, I am listening. You want me to make iPad covers. So I will. I’ve got a lot to do to get ready for my show this Saturday…but I’m thinking that if I had some iPad covers for sale at that show, then I may sell a few. I am going to try my best to make this happen!

I made this one on Sunday afternoon for the former student and I now have an actual pattern to use to make some more.

What do you think? Am I nuts to try to get this done by Saturday? Or would I be nuts to NOT have iPad covers for sale?

  1. I say listen to the universe and try to have some made up for Saturday. For every 2 people who say they will order something, half of them never do. But they’ll buy it when it’s there in front of their face.

  2. I say listen to the universe and make a half dozen if you can swing it. More people are buying the iPads and not everyone likes the covers available. Plus this makes a nice gift for the technophiles that everyone knows that already buys all the nifty gadgets right away. Good luck with it!
