Studio Snapshot | Improv Piecing Some Pillows

I’ve been working on new pillows for my freshly painted living room, I want a total of 5 (with 3 different size pillow forms) in my Autumn Splendor palette. I started with a vague idea on what I wanted to do with a couple of them and went from there. 

I wanted one of the squares to be similar to my wonky triangle medallion quilt: 

And of course I wanted a log cabin, I was shooting for a rectangular one, but that didn’t work out, so I added the strips along one side:

I then decided that I wanted each pillow to have a different main color, and I wanted to try some really wonky triangles pieced in this way:

I really love the pillow I made for my couch in the family room years ago, so I made a similar one here:

Then finally, I love making improv stars so made this guy here:

Time to start quilting!
