I’m working on 2 18″ x 24″ pieces of indigo dyed fabric with mudcloth inspired designs for a client who wants to frame them and hang them in a room decorated in navy and white.
Here’s some pillows I made using the same technique:
She really liked the pillow on the right, so I sent her a couple of sketches (one complete with sewing machine oil):
The first one is like the pillow she likes.
After I drew this one:
I came up with this design which I quite like:
She did too! So I drew out the designs with glue on some Essex and let it dry overnight.
Then, it was time for indigo dyeing!
