Studio Snapshots | An Improv Sampler Quilt

I’ve been working on an idea for a new class/club I’d like to offer: an improvisational piecing class where each month we work on a different kind of improvisational piecing. If people really liked a particular technique they could make a small (like a table runner or baby quilt) or larger top using that technique, but each practice block could become part of a sampler quilt! So, I need to make that sampler top as an example! Here’s a couple process shots of the first block I’m working on:

I like where this is going and can’t wait to keep working on it!
