Redlands Festival of Arts | This Weekend!

Well, my second attempt at mokume shibori dyeing ended up a bit better (after my not so successful first attempt):

And now it’s time for me to get packed for the Redlands Festival of Arts!

When: Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28, from 10 am to 5 pm.

There’s a huge Festival of Arts in downtown Redlands on the Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend in shady Smiley Park between the Smiley Library and the Lincoln Shrine in Redlands, CA. Artists and artisans exhibiting in the festival are juried into the show, and juried again on Saturday morning for prizes, so expect high quality and much excitement!

The Redlands Art Association is also running their Art in the Park show at the same time, on the lawn behind Old City Hall. I’ve done Art in the Park for years and wanted to try participating in this other festival this year, so between the two events it’s an arti festival lovers weekend for sure. There will be a Beer and Wine Garden, Food Trucks (including my favorite one: Cousin’s Maine lobster, I know what I’m having for lunch both days!!!!), kid’s activities and live performances, so don’t miss this great event! I’ve seen the booth layout map and I’ll be right in front of the Lincoln Shrine, click here for a map. For more information, see their website.

Here’s a shot of my booth from Art in the Park 2 years ago:

If you come to the show, please come by the Lincoln Shrine and say hi to me!!!
