Laundry Room Re-do Update

Last Wednesday I couldn’t take it any more, I HAD to put everything away in the newly painted cupboards in my laundry room!

Over the washer and dryer is where I keep detergent and all my dyes and dyeing supplies that should be kept in temperature controlled environment:

In the big cupboard I keep bolts of interfacing and bags of quilt batting up top:

And then I’ve got bins of all my scarf blanks and other dyeables down below. The bottom shelf holds bolts of PFD fabric, mostly linen. (The 100 yard rolls of PFD fabric I have are stored under a bed). I put hooks on the inside of the doors to hold my dyeing apron and hoodie too.

I can’t quite decide what to do for a valence for the window, so I’m dying a medium value and tone of turquoise, one of these will fit the bill:

I’m enjoying folding laundry much more now, even when this project isn’t finished yet!

Don’t forget, just a couple more days to register for the Fiber Art Connection, you can read about it and enter an Artist Goody Basket Giveaway at this post here.
