A Wee Bunny and Squirrel for Teigan!

One artist I’ve followed for years is Ann Wood, I absolutely love her work. She creates fantastical creatures, usually from salvaged/vintage clothing, they have such character and expression.  She released a new pattern last month for the cutest wee little squirrel and bunny, when I saw it I KNEW I had to make them! I had just the reason too – my niece’s daughter Teigan is 7 or 8 and she needs a Christmas present!!! So I pulled out some hand dyed linen scraps and got to work!

Now, these cute little critters need a place to hang out, so I made them a little basket:

Folding the edges over allows Teigan to use it as a boat, or a car or a bed!

I’ll let you know what she decides to name them!

  1. Goodness me, Candy! You have been busy! And to have the energy after the Open studio to make those gorgeous christmas gifts for Teigan – you must be exhausted!

Happy Christmas to you and your family. I do find such inspiration in your wonderful, colourful work. Thank you
