Giveaway | Give the Gift of Color!

giveawaydaydec8
It’s Giveaway Day over at Sew Mama Sew! (Actually, it’s all week long, with all sorts of bloggers having a giveaway on the same week!) so I’m participating by giveing away one of my scarves to one lucky commenter.

If you’re new here – welcome! If you’re a big fan of color and fabric, you may want to subscribe to my blog or sign up for my newsletter, there’s a form right there on the right! —>

I’ve had 3 big art shows this Fall, and at every show, many of my customers, both new and returning, are buying one (or more) of my  hand dyed silk scarves as a gift! Here’s a picture of my booth from one of my shows this Fall:

AFHS 2014 01

They really enjoy spending the time finding just the right color combination and dye patterning to fit their recipient. I enjoy learning a bit about the recipient while I help, looking through the scarves to find just the right one:

Here are just a few of the many silk scarves I have dyed, I name each color palette combination I create, this is part of the fun!:

Habotai-Scarf-Giveaway

How can you enter?

Just take a peek at my scarf color palettes and then leave me a comment on this post telling me which one is your favorite…or, is there a certain color combination that you’d like to see that isn’t there? I’m always looking for new color ideas, let me know! (Comment moderation is on, so don’t worry if your comment doesn’t show up right away, I’ve got to approve it first!) I will ship internationally.

When does it end?

Sew Mama Sew has put together a huge list of blogs hosting giveaways this week, if you’ve got some time, head on over and enter some more! They all end this Friday, December 12, at 5 pm Pacific, so you’ve got a few days to tour around and enter a bunch!

I’ll use random.org to choose a winner, email the winner over the weekend and I’ll send the winner’s choice of habotai scarf out a week from today so you can be wearing it soon! Or, if you like, I can send it to a lucky person on your holiday gift list!

Edit: The giveaway is over, Congrats to Victoria!

  1. Your work is just so beautiful! Your pictures of the scarves are all pure eye-candy but I think my most favorite is kelp.

  2. Looooove Daffodil Sky (with Gerber Daisy a close second). I guess I love bright colors 😉 Thanks for the chance.

  3. Its so hard to choose a favourite! I love crocus, sunset and moonlit moth the most. Theyre all stunning.

  4. Love the moonlit moth, I also like the black orchid. I wear a lot of brown and purple, so that combination would be really pretty too.

  5. There are so many beautiful colour combinations. I love the bright summer colours, but if I were to choose one to wear myself it would be Moonlit Moth. It’s just gorgeous! Thanks for the chance to win!

  6. I’m missing scarfs that do not contain the pastel-palette… most of the olours fade at some point into the pastel/pale which is why I can’t really pick any of the pallettes as a “favourite” …

  7. Ocean surf wins my vote – but only by a narrow margin. They are all lovely and I know someone who would love each and every colour!

  8. I love your scarves so much! I;m having trouble choosing between Breath of Spring, Ocean Surf, and Earth and Sky, but I think the last is my favorite.

  9. I love your winter palettes- I think Kelp is my favorite, but they’re all lovely! Thank you for the giveaway!

  10. Lunar Eclipse is my current favorite! Two colors I would like to see worked together are two I can hardly ever find: the living scarlet of maple leaves & the greyblue slate found in Autumn-almost-Winter skies.

  11. I like Ocean Surf, Sunset and Earth and Sky. All your scarves are beautiful, but these 3 would work best with my wardrobe.

  12. I love them all but Gerberadaisy would look better on me as I am a bit pale. Have you thought of making one is fuchsia and purple? I love both those colours.

  14. I think I like kelp the best. What I didn’t see was a jewel tones one. I think those colors are supposed to be flattering on a lot of people.

  15. Oh my goodness, they are all gorgeous. I have a couple of blouses that would look fabulous with WISTERIA. thank you so much

  16. I’m loving the orange and pink together. Another color combination you could do would be grey and yellow, that’s very popular right now. Navy blue and white would be nice too. cdahlgren at live dot com

  18. Very tough choice, but I think my favorite is Lunar Eclipse. Thanks for sharing your lovely scarves with us!

  19. I think my favorite color combo is Aurora, although there are about half a dozen others that would be just as wonderful.

  25. I honestly cannot decide on a favourite between Earth Wind & Fire and the Tigerlily. They are both beautiful, truly beautiful.

  26. I love the “Ocean Surf” colors. I’d love to see one with various shades of blue and touches of white. Blue is my favorite color! Oh! Blue and pink would make me pretty happy too!

  27. My favorite palette is Winter, favorite one in that palette is Lunar Eclipse. They are all beautiful!

  28. The black orchid and lunar eclipse are my favorites in the winter colors. Such beautiful combinations for summer I would never be able to choose just one.

  29. Your scarves are beautiful! I love both the Ocean Surf color and the Lunar Eclipse. My favorite color is turquoise so anything with that color immediately draws me in! Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.

  30. Moonlit Moth is so pretty! But if I were to give one to my mother in law it would have to be Tigerlily, or to my step mother in law it would be Earth and Sky. So much fun to pick out what others would love.

  31. Wow! These are so beautiful. When I look at these, I think of one of my favorite Aunts, whose favorite would certainly be “Wisteria”! Thanks for the giveaway, and happy holidays!

  32. Your scarves are gorgeous. Ocean surf is my favorite. Thanks for the artful giveaway! And thanks for your gorgeous blog too!

  36. Your scarves are beautiful!
I would pick Ocean Surf for my daughters. They would love it.
I would like one with either a deep, rich red or burgundy mixed with light and dark greys.

  37. I really like Aurora, but I’m afraid I don’t own anything it would go with! I also love Ocean Surf and Earth and Sky.

  38. Oh my goodness! These are gorgeous! I love so many of them but I think my favorite is Aurora! Thank you for such a lovely giveaway!

  39. I love the Moonlight Moth combination–I bet a teal and gray combination would be lovely too! Thank you for the chance!

  40. Gerber Daisy is my favorite. How about orange/yellow of gerber daisy with a happy bright purple. Or 3 colors on one.

  41. I love the moonlit moth but choosing a favorite is very hard since they are all so beautiful! Thanks for the chance to win

  42. So gorgeous and hard to choose, but Ocean Surf is my favorite. I’d love to see one like Earth and Sky, but with shades of green to go with that gorgeous brown. Thanks for participating!

  43. Beautiful! Overall I love the colors of summer collection, especially the Gerber Daisy, but I also really like the Ocean Surf. Thanks for the chance to win.

  44. I love Tiger Lily. I’m always looking for burnt oranges and browns 🙂 All your color combos are beautiful 🙂

  45. Daffodil Sky, I think! Hard to choose!

FYI, the summer palette is the only one that does not open on a new tab. I liked being able to have several tabs open and see all my favorites ‘side by side’.

    Thanks!

  46. These scarves are fabulous! I like Ocean Surf best, I love these crisp colours and I don’t have a blue/green scarf. 🙂
    Thanks for the chance!
