Well, we’re finally putting something BACK into the kitchen, instead of taking stuff out, hooray!
Of course, the first thing to put back was paint. The ceiling needed painting, and if we get little bit of walls that will actually show in the kitchen painted now, it’s a lot easier than painting around the cabinets later. So, I spent most of the day painting while hubby was re-plumbing the ice-maker line so that is in the wall rather than sticking out making the fridge stick out a couple more inches.
So although it doesn’t look great, having the paint done in here will make us quicker to finish! But finally, we got to start putting the cabinets in! We started with the hardest one, the over the fridge one, because we’re using that height to set the height of the rest of the cabinets.
It’s starting, hooray!

What is the name of the tile you used for the floor? I’m using the same cabinets and overall color scheme for my kitchen reno and have had the hardest time picking a tile that matches everything!
I’m sorry, but I have no idea. 🙁 The house was tiled long before we bought it 9 years ago. We have a couple of extra tiles, but no box with the name on it.
Good luck finding something that works! Have you thought about slate? I love that stuff!
