One Moment | My Springtime Office

One of the reasons I bought myself a fancy dancy high powered laptop was so I could spend time processing photos, working on videos for my online classes etc… someplace other than my upstairs studio. I get to see a bit more of my family, and it’s nice to change up the surroundings a bit. We’ve been having absolutely lovely weather this Winter-that-wasn’t, so I’ve been spending a lot of late afternoons here:

My afternoon favorite drink at hand (diet ginger ale), some dyeing fabric soaking up the last of today’s sunshine. With my online class pretty much complete, and the Spring semester at my University 2 weeks from over, I’m starting to feel a bit less overwhelmed with everything. Just in time to appreciate:

Hummingbirds at the feeder:

springtime veggies in the garden:

Some of our herbs are flowering too. The sage looks glorious:

and although it’s not flowering right now, we have incredible rosemary here:

I’ve got a volunteer plant at the base of one patio post that jumped ship from a hanging plant years ago, I have no idea what it’s called, but it’s stupendous right now:

Ah, what a great place to write a blog post!

Have a great weekend!

p.s. Don’t forget to enter my giveaway, it closes tomorrow night!

om [one moment] meet upalamodestuff Linda has started a weekly meetup based on taking a moment each week to really notice something as you go about your daily grind life. I need to do this. You may want to too – read more about it here:

  1. It’s cold here at night now (it’s nearly the end of autumn), and quite cool in the morning sand late afternoons. I spend time with my computer which is in my sewing room which gets sun for a couple of hours in the late morning, then I move outside for a while to draw or read and eat lunch, and finally to the living room on the western side of the house to soak up the last of the sun. I need connection to our 21st century internet but my old laptop (2004) has died! Perhaps it’s time to buy an iPad?
