One Moment | Looking for My Mojo

Well, it’s been one of those weeks.

  • Back to school stress and crazy amounts of nervous energy spent in the classroom? Check!
  • Dealing with the monthly RAA newsletter and website update stress? Check!
  • Crazy re-direct hellness with a new web design  project? Check!

This feeling is starting to feel familiar…why LOOK! I blogged about the same sorts of feelings this exact week last year! I am at least predictable! Perhaps I should send a message to myself set to get to me next January 3rd…”Hey dude, Christmas wears you out, don’t expect too much from January!!!! Seriously, no…new…projects!!!!”

Anyway, what does make me feel a bit better is to remind me what I want to be making, so I’m gonna update the January to do list and try to make myself feel better:

January Goals

Mystery Proposals 1/7/11 100%
Podcast Interview with Cindy 1/6/11 100%
Lunch bags for Mary 1/10/11 50%
New Site Design for Angie! 2/14/11 5%
Laptop messenger for Mary 1/31/11 0%
Laptop messenger for Miss Elyse 1/31/11 0%
Messenger Pattern 1/31/11 75%
Laptop messenger for Nichole 2/15/11 0%
QA Gifts Submissions 3/1/11 0%

Last week I was panicking…I was stuck on the mystery proposal, and I had to get it done. What is interesting is that a podcast interview I did with Cindy from Mixed Grill Favorites last Thursday really got the right kind of creative juices flowing and I happily sent the proposal off late, late Thursday night. Sigh, if only the interview had been Tuesday!

So I’m searching for my mojo, and between realizing that I did get a couple of big things accomplished, and focusing on this wonderful sentiment, so beautifully illustrated by dear Artsyville Aimee,

perhaps it’s peeking out from under that huge stack of 1st week of the semester work!
om [one moment] meet up

alamodestuff Linda has started a weekly meetup based on taking a moment each week to really notice something as you go about your daily grind life. I need to do this. You may want to too – read more about it here:

  1. It IS the year! I feel it too. While there is almost nothing more maddening than dealing with web design/coding gone wrong, once you get it working, it’s brilliant! Here’s to MOJO all year round.

  2. There is not a doubt in my mind, “this is the year”. Your mojo is right there, you just wait, it’s going to shine this year, and you are going to rock it. I just know it! 😉

  3. I agree, this IS the year! It is hard to find your mojo in January. But as I’ve watched you over the last few years, I’ve seen your mojo grow as your momentum grows. You are on fire and your 2011 will be the best year yet!
