Headed for the Sweat Shop!

OK, folks, I’ve got 4 shows coming in the next 5 weeks! I’m not gonna panic – but I’ve gotta get my nose to the grindstone! If you’re in the Southern CA area and looking for a fun day out, I’d love to see you!

I’ll be at the 7th Annual Orange Muffin Festival at Plymouth Village, Saturday, April 17th. Here’s a picture of last year’s show:

Then, I’m doing a new fund-raising show for a charity called “Get on the Bus”, which raises money to take kids to visit incarcerated parents on Mother’s & Father’s day. It will be on Sunday, April 18, 2010 at the Redlands United Church of Christ.

Both these shows are short, so I’ll only be bringing my “Everyday Art”.

Next comes Red Dirt Art Festival on Saturday, April 24. I’ll be here with the everything and the kitchen sink! I plan to introduce my Pocketin Boards for sale here! Here I am at last Spring’s Red Dirt:

And finally, Art in the Park will be Saturday & Sunday, May 8 & 9. The largest of the 4 shows I’ll be doing, it has lots of artist from not only Redlands, but other regions of CA and other Southwestern States.

It’ll be a crazy busy time, but my good friend Liz will be at all four shows, so we’ll have a grand time together! Although it’s awesome to have someone helping you in your booth (Mary?? Are you busy??), this often not practical. Having a good friend in the next booth over is wonderful, you can give each other potty breaks, chat away when crowds are light, and exchange high fives after a sale!

Posting has got to get a little bit sparse, I’ve got a big to do list, and not much time to do it!

  1. You’ve got a busy few months coming up! Good luck on all of them. Look forward to hearing how they go.

I’ve officially, unofficially almost decided to not do any more shows. It has been a crazy few years of doing them and this year I want to smell the roses more. I’m constantly tempted, but keep saying no. The holiday season about did me in last year (said in my bestSsouthern drawl). So, I’ll live vicariously through you and your shows. ; )

  2. i am hereby giving you a hearty, crisp salute. i cannot handle the stress of shows – one is enough to undo me for a year! four in five weeks is an amazing and ambitious workload and yet i know you’ll pull it off beautifully because WOW, your wares look SO good. these displays should pull people right through that tent. can’t wait to hear how they go!
