Art Wall Online

Art Wall Animation from Katie Stephenson on Vimeo.

Have you seen Art Wall Online yet? It’s a curated online art gallery, the brain child of Katie Stephenson.  It was created to exhibit the artwork of independent artists. The pieces are showcased in the form of an “Art Wall” — an arrangement of artwork placed on a virtual wall. The walls are themselves pieces of art created by Jessica Gonacha, modeled after a particular room in Katie’s house. The art in each frame comes from a different artist, and is a link to the artists online shop. The featured art is affordable, and either from a series of art or a print.

The site actually launched the day my site did, last November 9, and in the midst of the haze of that day, I remember seeing a tweet that sent me there and it was love at first sight! I immediately sent her an email asking her if my work was a good fit, thinking of my newest series, the Botanical Sketches and the  Branch & Birds. When it launched in November, 3 rooms were live, and she added another room in December and now in January, the dining room is live. Can you spot my pieces? Because my pieces are so small, she actually including 2 different series! Woohoo! Thanks so much Katie!

Dining-RoomFor the record – I am so AMAZED that it’s been under 2 months since my website launched – I feel like I’ve lived a year in those 2 months!

  1. ahh it’s so weird that i’m seeing a blog post about this right now! i randomly clicked on a little side banner for this site a few hours ago on some blog that i had never been to before. i’ve had this art wall site in a tab all night and i keep going back to it and looking around. it’s a really neat idea that is very well executed (not to mention super cute!) congrats having your art on one of the walls 🙂

  2. I know how you feel about living a year in two months. My site is going to turn 1 in eleven days and I feel like I’ve learned more in the past year than I thought was possible! It only gets better from here!

  3. Candy-thanks for the shout. My “Google Alert” picked it up! I forgot that our sites launched on the same day, I agree, it feels like it has been at least twice as long, sheesh. I’m so proud to have your art quilts on Art Wall. Cheers, Candy!

  4. This is a fun idea, even though it took me a few minutes to figure it out! LOL I agree, your work needs to be on that site!
