Really Free Free Motion Quilting

Elf Jester Stocking

Stockings hanging on the mantel represent the excitement and anticipation of Christmas! This colorful stocking has the collar of a jester and the curly toe of an elf shoe. The quilting on the stocking provides not only embellishment but support, and the tips of the jester collar are trimmed with felted wool balls.

Pocketin Board

What’s a “Pocketin Board”? It is a pretty bulletin board – with pockets! It’s made by stretching fabric over a piece of Homasote and stapling it on the back. Homasote is a type of building material made of recycled paper. It’s used for sound proofing, and is very light. There’s a pocket for business cards/dentist appointment cards/tickets, another pocket to hold letter size paper that’s been cut into in quarters – a perfect way to use the back of scrap paper!

Jack O’lantern Trick or Treat Bucket

Orange hand dyed fabric and slightly irregular vertical line quilting mimic the texture of a pumpkin and a fusible appliqued jack o’lantern face makes it ready for trick or treating! This bucket is kid approved because it’s big to hold lots of candy and “looks cool”.

Custom Phone Pouch w/ Key Fob

Learn to make a pouch sized to hold your particular phone, and once you’ve mastered this pattern, you’ll be able to make custom pouches for family and friends. There is a velcro strap that holds the phone safely in the pouch but allows for access to the earphone jack, and the back pocket provides a place for you to store those earphones. Adding a swivel snap to the case allows you to clip the phone into a larger bag – OR you can slip a credit card and driver’s license into the pocket, clip your phone to the matching key fob and you’ve got everything you really need for a quick errand.
