Hello All! First, I need to thank you all for the incredibly awesome energy you sent me in the comments yesterday….seriously, my heart is stronger because of them!

I wanted to pop in and tell you that my next tutorial over at Lillyella’s is up: I detail how we install bamboo/hardwood floor. Go take a look, and then grab your tape measure and start dreaming/planning – because you could do your own!

Do you remember this custom messenger bag I made? It was customized for Anita, who wanted the ultimate international travel bag.

She recently returned and I received this picture from a friend who was on the same tour with Anita (strangely small world we live in sometimes…) It was taken at Jiuzhaigou, which made me google and just ooh and ahh over all the incredible natural beauty from there; click here for a google image search after you’re done reading this post, if not you’ll get distracted and never return!

Jiuzhigou reminds me of all the incredible “thermal features” we found in Yellowstone, and that link reminds me of 7 things I’d like to add to my to do list – AHH!

Anita looks incredibly happy, I can’t wait to hear about the trip!

I’m starting a new blogging adventure! Once a month I’ll be posting a DIY tutorial on one of my home decorating adventures over at Lillyella. If you haven’t see Nicole’s blog yet, you’re in for a treat! She’s got lovely things to look at, all sorts of crafty how tos, and deelicious recipes to try, all with an indie design perspective. And now, my crazy you can do it attitude towards all things home deco related.

Dyeing an Ikea Slipcover Tutorial on Design Hole Online

Hello all! I’m having an amazing day so was delayed in popping in to tell you that a tutorial I wrote on how I dyed my slipcover is up on Design Hole Online today! Stirling is famous once again!

Jennifer did a great job of editing my technical language to make it seem not so scary – which is awesome, because it ISN’T scary, but you do have to be careful! I sure hope some folks give this a try!

Well, that took longer than I thought it would, but the tutorial is ready to go! 9 pages filled with lots of (I hope) helpful pictures! To recap: I talk about why I needed to make these here, along with a plea for help on the name and some details on the small board) and then I show some details of the large one here, and then I’ve started a flickr group in hopes of seeing things people make with my tute, patterns or if they’re generally inspired to make something after seeing something here – if you make one of these – please post a picture!
