Yup! It’s the 1st day of school for my boys! Both of them! WooHoo!

This means I’ve got 3 and a half weeks to get lots of fabric dyed and other Candied Fabrics business stuff wrapped up. I also have to get my fall classes ready to go, but now I’ve got a glorious 6 hours every day with no-one saying “I’m bored”!  Logan, my 8 year old, just got his glasses yesterday…he was ecstatic when he found out last week he finally needed glasses, and was very anxious to get them before school started. Of course, I’ve been spending the day wondering how they’re doing…

I’ve been MIA the last few days – our house was tented for termites, so we had to evacuate from Monday thru Wednesday morning.This involves taking anything edible and double bagging it in special bags. Now, even though they said that as long as the food was protected, everything was safe from fumes, I really could NOT move back into the kitchen without cleaning everything we cook with…as well as cleaning all the cupboards, etc… Now, this even was long overdue, but I’d rather have done it a cupboard at a time, rather than all at once. It gave me an excuse to do some serious unclutttering, which was awesome. But the only thing creative I’ve done this week is reorganize kitchen cupboards, so that’s all I’ve got to show you:

WooHoo! What an awesome comment. Yes, I AM doing something that I LOVE! Actually, I try to do as much of that which I LOVE and as little of what I DON’T. I could really expand on this point, because it goes a long way to explaining how I can do the things that I do every day…but simply said, I try to not spend lots of time doing things that i hate…it could be little things like I don’t watch commercials (thank God for Tivo!) or it could be big things like NOT being involved in unproductive relationships.

But right now, I wanna go downstairs and watch some commercial free TV with the Hubby, who was an awesome help today – he’s also great at decluttering stuff…when I get him focused in that direction!

On other fronts, I’m just about recovered from the hard drive fiasco. The happy part of this ordeal was I happened into a FABULOUS deal on a widescreen monitor over at Best Buy (it was the display model), so I’ve got more screeen real estate now – yippee!

I’ve also had a wicked cold, but am over the hump on that. Now I’m itching to make something, it’ll be small, as the Redlands Art Association is having a “Mini Multi Media Show” with entries due Feb 13, so that’s what I’m ruminating about now!

That’s it, I’m done! No more shows for me! Last week was hard, with 4 days of selling added on top of teaching my last week of classes. And, I probably won’t do those 2 shows again – but it was worth it this year, as my little business is “in the black” for this year! WooHoo! Now it’s on to finishing that pesky grading and making lots of Christmas presents! Next Saturday is the last day to get priority mail boxes sent out in time for Christmas delivery, so I’ve got my deadline!
