Installing Bamboo Floors, One Day and DONE!

After the declutter to end all declutters in the boys playroom and bedroom last week, we then ripped up the nasty carpet and padding on Friday. Although the walls of the boys bedroom were painted when we first moved in (see that story along with the Southwestern style quilts I made for their beds here)…

Postcards from the Sierras: day 5

Logan and I went to see the ghost town in Bodies while Liam and Dad went fishing.

Postcards from the Sierras: Day 4

Postcards from the Sierras: Day 3

We went for a big hike on Wednesday, destination Barney Lake. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough water/stamina, so we didn’t reach the lake It sure was a beautiful hike though!

I’m a bit behind but thought I’d share some pix from our trip. Here are a few pictures from our first day on vacation. Although there’s no signal around the cabin there is some about 10 minutes drive towards the booming metropolis of Bridgeport.

My next commission was a collaboration with my younger son Logan, who just had his last day of school! A couple of months ago, I was making a 3-d bird, and I had first chosen green wings but didn’t like them, so I had a few wing shapes hanging around my studio. Logan came in and honed…
