Yup, I’m down to 5 classes to teach, and the last show of the season I do is this weekend, a Holiday Boutique at the Redlands YMCA (S/S 9-4). I’m not bringing the “full monty” setup as I’m inside with a table, rather than outside in an EZ-UP, so it should be a much easier setup. I didn’t have any grand plans for lots of new things, and all my work dyeing lots and lots of scarves at the end of the summer is paying off, becasue although I’ve sold plenty this Fall, I still have plenty (of course, I still dyed 20 in the past 2 days for a couple of special orders and to fill in where there I’d totally sold out of Tiger Lily & Madrigals). I did get some more Going Green Gorilla Totes made, and I’ve dyed and embellished a couple of “newspaper boy” bags too. Hubby is in bed with a cold, so Stirling has been good company this evening.

Phew! This has been on CRAZY week! I can’t believe how fast the website came together…we’re still working on some DNS & email glitches, and I’ve got tweaks to do all over the place, but my friends, that is one huge to-do that can get crossed off!

I got the custom freshly picked outfits out the door, my botanical sketches listed in the shop, some little wallets & keychains done in time for the show (more about them in another post!). Of course, I had 4 other tasks on my list to complete before the show that I did NOT get to, but I was more than happy to focus my creative energy on getting the website up & running. The only thing I’m added to the list (besides a studio deep clean) is to get my giveaway finished…have you entered yet? If not, go and do so, I need 500 entries to give away the grand prize!

The show was a fun day…I had lots of room to spread out and show off:

I got lots of nice feedback (and no one thought my branch & birds were coasters…I printed out a couple of pictures of them in action and posted them close by, here’s a bad picture of them setup:

And most importantly, we had wonderful weather! Hallelujah!

Anyone have any ins with the weather Gods? Living here in the Inland Empire of Southern CA, our wethaer is usually dry, and a lot of the year very hot, so when planning a show in November with half the participants Outside, we didn’t worry too much! Well, the show is Sunday, and it’s RAINING here today! YIKES! It hasn’t rained in Redlands since…well, I can’t remember when. It really doesn’t rain much except for in the winter…which I would like it to NOT be right now!The forecast looks fine, but BOY this is nerve wracking! Wish me luck!
