Welcome to my neighborhood: day 5

Today is my last day of school! My students give their presentations, and (the theory is) I’ll grade those, get final grades calculated and posted and then I’m done! (Well, except for graduation on Saturday…) I fell asleep at 9:30 last night, I must be tired! Anyway, I’m having fun sharing my wee little houses…

4th new house in my neighborhood

I made 6 – 2 more to go. Speaking of 2 more to go – I’ve got 2 more days of school left and then summer vacation! WooHoo! I’m sharing this with Kim and friends:

My Final Piece in the Bird/Home Series

Earlier in the week, I told you about a group of 3 pieces I rushed to finish to enter in the Multi Media Mini Show at my local Art association. They are all based off a spectacular piece of my hand dyed fabric (if I do say so myself, I’m so sorry I didn’t take…

Don’t look now! Actual art produced!

I love that I am able to support my art by selling things…but most of the things that I sell are of the “Everyday Art” variety – the scarves, bags, journals and soon pocketin boards (I hope!). It definitely took me awhile to not feel bad that I wasn’t selling more actual art, but as…

The Results are in!

You remember the mod house Christmas ornaments I made for the Things We Make recycled Ornament contest? Well, I WON! WaHoo!I was just chuffed, and feeling a bit justified…these little houses have been bouncing around in my head for months now, and I just haven’t found the time to make them. Well, that contest just…
