I’ve got a big display cabinet, thankfully locked, to fill with all sorts of 3-d pieces:

Of course, it was incredible hard to get good pictures with the reflections on the glass. Here’s a cobbled together photo that shows the whole installation a big better:

And here are some neat angles. I’m especially digging the houses on the mirrored bottom – totally cool.

This gives me an idea for displaying my Mod Houses in the future!

She chose 3 of house shapes, and wanted my Jewel Tones palette. I was able to create a set of 3 for her that incorporates all the colors:

I haven’t made any of these in awhile, but it still gives me a thrill to group them together. I didn’t have much time to play and take better photos though, because these had to get in the mail!

So, I made some of these cute trees to go with my mod house ornaments and didn’t blog about them! (If you look in these pix from my last big show, you can see them). Once local lady wanted to give a lucky couple in her family who love Mid-Century Modern one of my Krisel  ornaments, and she just had to have a few of those trees to go with them! As all the ornaments I’d made earlier in the Fall are hanging in the Redlands Art Association Gallery until after Christmas, I was able to whip up one for her.

I am soooo close to meeting all my December goals, I think I may cross every last thing off the list!

November Goals

Much to my surprise, I finished almost all of it! I was planning for being gone on vacation, and if I had actually gone I would not have gotten all this done – so guess there’s an upside to one’s son needing an appendectomy!

Where I really fell down was those blog submissions…I managed 2, and just stopped. I of course sent to pretty darn big blogs, and there’s all this hoohah about not sending to too many at once, and they like it when you haven’t been shown anywhere else, yada yada…so it’s like 1 week/submission, sigh…

Now I’ve got lots of things to make in December, on top of those pesky final exams…

December Goals

OK, now that I’ve written it all down, I don’t feel so bad. But yes, that there is a sh*tload of stuff to accomplish! Along with the whole appreciating the season stuff! (Sharp eyed folks will notice I did not put blog submissions back on the list…argh….) Here’s hoping I get a lot of scarves sold this month. And I would love if all those new pieces up there found new homes as well!
