We are no longer taking new clients!
My name is Candy…and I’m addicted to doing things for myself! I’ve been this way all my life, and I’ve learned lots of things along the way. In my "day job" I teach Biology to non-science majors at the University of Redlands. Designing PowerPoint lectures and lab manuals to be both visually interesting and easy to understand has been a skill developed over my entire academic career. For me, designing websites is a natural extension of those skills!
I have met artists who know they need a website, and are completely overwhelmed with the choices available to them. My goal as web designer is to put a beautiful, simple website in that artist's hands and teach them how to use it. Artists need to share their work, the internet is a great way to do that, and I can help!
Hi! I'm Mary Weise, but you can call me MaryBerry.
By day, I am a simple web designer. I commute, I have a cubicle, I play code monkey all day.
But by night, I like to make things. I cook food, I craft, I build websites.
Well, what a great question!
I make things to keep my sanity. :D
I graduated from the University of Redlands in May of 2010, with a BS in Computer Science. I avoided a big kid job by working on campus for the summer, but in October I found the corporate web design position I have now. Despite the fact that I work on websites all day, which is great, corporate life can really take its toll on you. So, I dove back in to making and blogging, out of a desperate need for a creative outlet.
Hey there, I'm Julie. I found myself in the graphics field in a very round-about way.
Once I graduated in mathematics from UC Santa Cruz, I had no real game plan for my future. Fortunately I found an entry level position at a large independent school working with the public relations director. I was given quite a lot of freedom to create newsletters, invitations, fundraising materials, graduation/promotion programs as well as designing the logo for a building constructed during my tenure at the school.
Since becoming a freelance designer, I’ve also worked on large scale reports, classroom manuals, advertisements, business cards, and sales materials.
As a new aspect to my graphic design work, I've joined forces with Candy and Mary to help create websites that are appealing, user-friendly and convey a professional, modern image. For the most part, my motto is "less is more" when it comes to design, but I pride myself in being able to work with each client to evoke exactly the feeling and look they desire.
