Studio Snapshots | And Now for Something Completely Different!

I’ve been using only my hand dyed fabric in my art for years an years now. Except! When a fabric designer friend asks me to make something with some of their fabric! I met Jamie Fingal in the green room of Quilting Arts TV in the Summer of 2010, my first time filming! We’ve been friends on facebook every since, so when she asked me to help introduce her new line of Hoffman Fabric called “Autumn is For Birds”, I was happy to say YES! It’s so fun to see her name on the selvedges:

And now for something completely different! I'm working on a quilt made with fabric designed by Jamie Fingal @atwistedsister! So fun to work with fabric designed by someone I actually know! :-) #fbp

Look at this cute bird!

What a cutie patootie! New fabric by @atwistedsister from @hoffmanfabrics! Blog hop in a couple weeks! #fbp

I’m not gonna show much more until the blog hop later this month, but here’s my quilting test piece:

I’m happy with the quilting thread color I chose, and I’m using the leaf and bird motifs from the fabrics to develop the quilting motifs! More later! 🙂
