Custom Hand Dyed Silk Stole for A Wedding

I had another customer drop by yesterday…this one met me at  Red Dirt Art Festival last weekend. She was looking for a stole to wear with her wedding dress, which is a light honey, buff sort of color I’d probably call “champagne”. We looked at my scarves and her cell phone picture of it, and thought that some version of my Wild Rice palette would do the trick.

When she brought the dress over to my studio, indeed the light brown in Wild Rice was a perfect compliment to her dress. So I dyed a stole using 2 tints of that light golden brown, and voila, a subtle, understated, lovely stole!

I was able to snap some quick pix in the backyard before she came by – she loved it! Hooray! 🙂

  1. You have such a way with colors, Candy!

(I had to get dressed up recently, (something that I generally avoid at all costs) and every outfit I tried on just didn’t feel dressy enough… something was missing. Then I grabbed the scarf that you so generously gave me, and voila! It made my outfit rock!)

  2. What a fabulous idea! This colour palette looks so elegant, perfect for a wedding! Here’s a toast to your success!
