I had a request to dye a wraparound skirt with my Earth & Sky palette from Angie. I’ve never dyed a wrap around skirt, and she wanted it to be relatively subtle…this was a tough one. I don’t like when things get too subtle, it’s the luscious nooks & crannies of color that I crave when dyeing fabric. Add to that the fact that I wanted to avoid horizontal striping. Even when I started dyeing, I didn’t have a clear idea. But after wringing the soda ash out of the skirt my hands took over and voila!
I’m really happy with this – and when I showed Angie some pictures on Flickr she liked it too! Woot!
I’m sharing this with my pals over at AmyLouWho’s Sew n’ Tell Friday!

My name is Candy Glendening, and I’m addicted to color! I dye fabric so I can have just the hue & texture I want, and then use it to make art quilts and “everyday art”.
I think it turned out great!
The colors are sublime!
